1. Locate the tail light fixture you wish to remove. There is one tail light fixture on each side of the vehicle, located on the quarter panel at the rear.
2. Open the tailgate.
3. Locate the two plastic retainer nuts near the tail light assembly.
4. Turn the retainer nuts counterclockwise with a Phillips-head screwdriver until they release.
5. Pull the tail light assembly straight out from the vehicle.
6. Disconnect the electrical connector from the back of the tail light assembly.
7. Press down on the release tab holding the bulb you want to replace.
8. Withdraw the bulb from its housing.
9. Insert the new bulb into the socket and release the tab.
10. Insert the new bulb and make sure it's secure.
11. Reconnect the electrical connector to the back of the new light assembly.
12. Slide the tail light back into place.
13. Secure the tail light by turning the retainer nuts clockwise with the screwdriver.
14. Repeat the process for the other side.
