You will need a flathead screwdriver, a Phillips-head screwdriver, a ratchet and socket set, and a pry bar.
Step 2: Open the tailgate.
Open the tailgate of your Ridgeline.
Step 3: Remove the tailgate trim.
Use a pry bar to remove the tailgate trim. Be careful not to damage the trim.
Step 4: Remove the screws.
Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the tailgate cap in place. There are two screws on each side of the cap.
Step 5: Pry off the tailgate cap.
Use a flathead screwdriver to pry off the tailgate cap. Be careful not to damage the tailgate cap.
Step 6: Reinstall the tailgate cap.
Once you have removed the tailgate cap, reinstall it in reverse order.
Step 7: Tighten the screws.
Use a ratchet and socket set to tighten the screws that hold the tailgate cap in place.
Step 8: Replace the tailgate trim.
Replace the tailgate trim and snap it into place.
