The oil filter on a 1998 Nissan Pathfinder is located on the bottom of the engine, near the front of the vehicle. It is a cylindrical-shaped object with a black cap. To access the oil filter, you will need to raise the vehicle and remove the skid plate. Once the skid plate is removed, you will be able to see the oil filter.
