- Remove the upper radiator hose.
- Remove the water temperature switch connector.
- Using the appropriate size wrench, loosen and remove the water temperature switch.
- Screw in the new water temperature switch until snug.
- Reattach the electrical connector to the water temperature switch.
- Secure the upper radiator hose to the radiator and engine.
2005-2011 Hyundai Getz 1.1L to 1.6L
- Disconnect the negative battery cable.
- Remove the air filter box assembly.
- Remove the radiator hose bracket.
- Remove the water temperature sensor electrical connector.
- Loosen and remove the water temperature sensor.
- Apply sealant to the threads of the new water temperature switch and screw it in until snug.
- Reinstall the water temperature switch electrical connector, the radiator hose bracket, the air filter box assembly and reconnect the negative battery cable.
