Procedure:
1. Locate the PCV valve on the rear top of the engine, near the thermostat housing. It is a small, black valve with a hose connected to it.
2. Disconnect the hose from the PCV valve by pulling it straight up.
3. Place a rag under the PCV valve to catch any residual oil.
4. Use a 17mm wrench to loosen the PCV valve.
5. Remove the PCV valve from the engine.
6. Inspect the PCV valve for damage or clogging. If it is damaged or clogged, replace it.
7. Install a new PCV valve by threading it into the engine until it is hand-tight.
8. Tighten the PCV valve with a 17mm wrench.
9. Re-connect the hose to the PCV valve.
Note: It is recommended that you replace the PCV valve every 30,000 miles or every two years, whichever comes first.
