How do you remove and install a 1998 Toyota Camry rear bumper cover?

Removing the Rear Bumper Cover.

Tools Required

- Phillips Head screwdriver

- Flat Head Screwdriver

- 10mm Socket

- Ratchet

1. Open the trunk. Locate the two Phillips head screws on either side of the bottom edge of the trunk opening, and remove the screws. Pull up the weatherstripping around the trunk lid to expose the remaining Phillips head screws. Remove these screws as well.

2. Locate the two 10mm bolts on either side of the license bracket. Remove the bolts.

3. Gently pull the bumper cover away from the body of the car, starting at one side and working your way around. Some force may be required, but be careful not to damage the bumper cover or the paint on the car.

4. Disconnect the electrical connector for the license plate light.

Installing the Rear Bumper Cover

1. To install the rear bumper cover, simply follow the steps for removal in reverse order.

Tips

- Be careful not to damage the bumper cover or the paint on your car when removing it.

- Make sure that all the screws and bolts are tight before driving your car.

- If you have a new rear bumper cover, be sure to install it according to the instructions that came with it.
