Preparation
- Park the vehicle on a level surface, apply the parking brake and turn off the engine.
- Locate the tail light assembly that needs the bulb replacement, usually red in color.
- Gather necessary tools, such as a screwdriver and a replacement bulb of the correct size and type.
Bulb Removal
1. Open the trunk or cargo area of the Fiesta.
2. Locate the access panel to the tail light assembly. It is usually secured by screws or plastic clips. Use a screwdriver to remove them.
3. Remove the access panel to expose the taillight assembly.
4. Locate the brake light socket. It is typically a round, plastic housing with a bulb attached to it.
5. Press the socket counterclockwise to release it from the assembly.
6. Gently pull the socket straight out of the assembly to remove it and the attached brake light bulb.
Bulb Installation
7. Remove the old brake light bulb from the socket by gently twisting it counterclockwise and pulling it out.
8. Insert the new brake light bulb into the socket.
9. Align the tabs of the socket with the corresponding slots in the assembly.
10. Gently press the socket back into the assembly until it locks into place.
Reassembly
11. Reattach the access panel you removed earlier, securing it with the screws or plastic clips.
12. Close the trunk or cargo area of the vehicle.
13. Test the brake lights to ensure that they are functioning correctly.
