1. Park your Volvo on a level surface and apply the parking brake.
2. Open the trunk of your Volvo.
3. Locate the two tail light assemblies in the trunk. They are located on either side of the spare tire.
4. Remove the two screws that secure each tail light assembly to the body of the car.
5. Carefully pull the tail light assembly straight out from the car.
6. Locate the brake light bulb located inside of the tail light housing and twist the bulb counterclockwise to remove it.
7. Insert a new brake light bulb into the tail light housing and twist it clockwise to secure it.
8. Replace the tail light assembly by inserting the two screws that you removed in step 4 and tighten them until they are secure.
9. Repeat steps 4-8 on the other side of the car.
10. Test the brake lights to ensure that they are working properly.
