1. Remove the door handle bezel. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the bezel off the door handle. Be careful not to damage the paint.
2. Remove the window crank handle. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the two screws that hold the window crank handle in place. Pull the handle off of the door.
3. Remove the door lock knob. Use a flat-head screwdriver to pry the door lock knob out of the door. Be careful not to damage the paint.
4. Remove the screws that hold the door trim in place. There are four screws located around the perimeter of the door trim. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the screws.
5. Pull the door trim off of the door. Once the screws are removed, you can pull the door trim off of the door. Be careful not to damage the paint.
Here are some additional tips for removing the door trim on a 1991 Mercedes SL500:
* Use a plastic pry tool instead of a metal screwdriver to avoid damaging the paint.
* Be careful not to pull too hard on the door trim, as this could damage the clips that hold it in place.
* If the door trim is difficult to remove, you may need to use a heat gun to loosen the adhesive that holds it in place.
