Where is my cam sensor on vauxhall vectra b?

2000 Vauxhall Vectra B 2.0 DTi camshaft sensor location

The Camshaft Position Sensor is located on the inlet camshaft. To locate the sensor, follow the wiring loom coming from the sensor until you reach the camshaft. To reach the sensor, loosen the four 10 mm bolts holding the metal fuel/air separator on the cam cover, lift off the separator and move it to the side to gain more clearance.

1. To remove the camshaft sensor first unscrew the 13mm bolt that fastens the sensor to the cam cover, then remove the connector by squeezing the spring clip and pulling the connector off.

2. Remove the O-ring from the old camshaft sensor and grease a new O-ring and carefully fit it to the new sensor.

3. Fit the camshaft sensor and insert the sensor wiring into the channel, then fit the 13mm bolt. Tighten the bolt.

4. Tighten the 13mm bolt.

5. Reconnect the connector by reattaching the spring clip.

6. Refit the metal fuel/air separator using the four 10mm bolts.
