1. Gather the necessary tools. You will need a wrench, a screwdriver, and a pair of pliers.
2. Locate the chain adjuster. The chain adjuster is located on the rear wheel of the 3-wheeler. It is a metal piece with a bolt in the center.
3. Loosen the locknut on the chain adjuster bolt. Use the wrench to loosen the locknut on the chain adjuster bolt. Do not completely remove the locknut.
4. Rotate the chain adjuster bolt. Use the wrench to rotate the chain adjuster bolt clockwise. This will tighten the chain.
5. Continue to rotate the chain adjuster bolt until the chain is at the proper tension. The chain should be tight enough so that it does not sag or jump when you turn the wheel, but not so tight that it is difficult to move.
6. Tighten the locknut on the chain adjuster bolt. Once the chain is at the proper tension, tighten the locknut on the chain adjuster bolt. This will prevent the chain from loosening up.
7. Test the chain tension. Turn the rear wheel of the 3-wheeler to check the chain tension. The chain should be tight, but not so tight that it is difficult to move.
If you are not comfortable performing this task, you can take your 3-wheeler to a qualified mechanic to have it done.
