Here is a step-by-step guide:
1. Start by disconnecting the spark plug wire from the spark plug to ensure that the engine cannot start while you are working on it.
2. Tilt the lawnmower on its side so that the carburetor is facing up. This will help prevent fuel from leaking out of the carburetor.
3. Locate the blade bolt on the bottom of the lawnmower deck. The blade bolt is usually located near the center of the deck and is attached to the blade adapter.
4. Use a wrench to turn the blade bolt counterclockwise until it is completely loosened and the blade can be removed.
5. Once the blade bolt is loosened, remove the blade adapter from the lawnmower deck. The blade adapter is the metal plate that attaches the blade to the lawnmower deck.
6. Remove the blade from the blade adapter. The blade is usually attached to the blade adapter with two or three bolts. Use a wrench to loosen these bolts and remove the blade.
7. Inspect the blade for damage and replace it if necessary. If the blade is damaged, it can be dangerous to use and should be replaced.
8. Reassemble the lawnmower by replacing the blade, blade adapter, and blade bolt. Tighten all bolts securely.
9. Reconnect the spark plug wire to the spark plug.
10. Start the engine and test the operation.
