Tools required:
Adjustable wrench and a 10mm socket with ratchet.
1. Find the clutch adjustment nut. It is located on the left side of the motorcycle, above the clutch mechanism.
2. Use the adjustable wrench to loosen the locknut in front of the adjustment screw by turning it a couple of turns counter-clockwise .
3. Use the 10mm socket to slowly and turn the adjustment screw inward (clockwise) to tighten to 0.98 - 1.0 in(24.9 and 25.4 mm) as indicated in owners manual when the play between end on clutch release lever and adjusting clutch release lever stop decreases about 3mm. Be careful not to over-tighten, as this can damage the clutch
4. Hold the adjusted screws and retighten the locknut.
Note:** You may need to experiment with the adjustment in order to find the optimal tension and clutch action of clutch for your desired driving condition.
Once you are satisfied with the adjustment, make sure to check and retighten locknut and adjustment screw occasionally when doing other routine mechanical service to ensure continued proper clutch system operation of clutch and other clutch mechanism components
