- Pay special attention to the tiny holes in the jets and passageways to ensure they're clear of any obstructions or blockages.
- Rinse the carburetor parts with clean fuel or carburetor cleaner to remove any residue.
- Use compressed air to blow dry all parts.
4. Inspection and Replacement:
- Inspect all parts for wear or damage. Replace any damaged parts with new ones, focusing on gaskets, seals, and o-rings.
- If the float appears damaged or has fuel inside, replace it.
5. Reassembly:
- Reinstall the needle valve assembly, ensuring the needle is properly seated in the jet.
- Screw the main jet and pilot jet back into their respective locations, tightening them securely but not overtightening.
- Reinstall the float bowl gasket, if it's in good condition, or use a new one.
- Reattach the float bowl to the carburetor body and tighten the screws or bolts securely.
6. Final Checks:
- Ensure that all parts are securely fastened and in their proper positions.
- Double-check the jets and passages to ensure they are clear and unobstructed.
- Reconnect the fuel line to the carburetor.
7. Testing:
- Reinstall the carburetor onto the ATV and reconnect the air filter and air filter housing.
- Start the ATV and ensure that it idles properly.
- Perform test runs to assess the throttle response and overall performance of the carburetor.
