1. Park the lawn mower on a level surface and engage the parking brake.
2. Locate the brake disengage lever. On most Troy-Built lawn mowers, it is a red lever located near the right rear wheel.
3. Press down on the brake disengage lever to release the brake. The lawn mower will now be able to move freely.
To re-engage the brake, simply release the brake disengage lever. The brake will automatically re-engage when the lawn mower is parked and the parking brake is engaged.
