1. Remove the saddlebag brackets - To do this, remove the two bottom bolts on each bracket. Then, remove the two top nuts on each bracket. (Don't drop these nuts or you'll have a tough time getting them out!)
2. Remove the two hex screws on both the left and right sides at the front of the seat to get the two long rods (seat mounting rods) free from the holes in the seat latch bracket near the front of the seat.
3. Push the rods toward the rear of the bike to release the seat.
4. Lift up on the rear lip of the seat and remove from bike.
