1. Locate the governor screw. The governor screw is usually located on the side of the engine, near the carburetor. It is a small, metal screw with a spring around it.
2. Loosen the locknut. The locknut is located on the governor screw. Use a wrench to loosen the locknut.
3. Turn the governor screw. Use a screwdriver to turn the governor screw clockwise. This will increase the speed of the scooter.
4. Tighten the locknut. Once you have adjusted the governor screw, tighten the locknut to secure it in place.
5. Test the scooter. Take the scooter for a test ride to see if the speed has increased.
