1. Park the 4 Wheeler on level ground and turn off the engine.
2. Locate the clutch adjustment screw on the left side of the engine, near the bottom. It is a small, round screw with a lock nut.
3. Loosen the lock nut with a wrench. (Turn the nut about three turns. Use a 10mm wrench.)
4. Using a flat-head screwdriver, turn the clutch adjustment screw clockwise until it makes contact with the clutch push rod.
5. Back the clutch adjustment screw out 1/4 turn. Use a flat-head screwdriver.
6. Tighten the lock nut. Recheck adjustment every 10 hrs of operation.
If the clutch is slipping, you may need to adjust it further. To do this, turn the clutch adjustment screw clockwise in 1/4-turn increments until the clutch no longer slips. Be sure to tighten the lock nut after each adjustment.
If the clutch is dragging, you may need to adjust it further. To do this, turn the clutch adjustment screw counterclockwise in 1/4-turn increments until the clutch no longer drags. Be sure to tighten the lock nut after each adjustment.
