Can you drive on a cracked wheel?

Driving on a cracked wheel is extremely dangerous and should be avoided. A crack compromises the structural integrity of the wheel, significantly increasing the risk of:

* Wheel failure: The wheel could break completely while driving, leading to a loss of control and a potentially serious accident.

* Tire blowout: A crack can weaken the tire bead seat, making it more prone to failure.

* Damage to other components: A failing wheel can damage suspension parts, brakes, and other nearby components.

Even a small crack should be considered a serious issue and the wheel should be inspected by a qualified mechanic immediately. Do not drive on a cracked wheel unless absolutely necessary for a very short distance to a safe location for repair or replacement. If you must move the vehicle, drive slowly and cautiously.
