1) Under the Hood: Open the hood and look on the driver's side of the engine compartment, near the cowl. The VIN should be stamped on a metal plate attached to the firewall.
2) On the Dash: Sit in the driver's seat and look at the lower corner of the windshield, on the driver's side. The VIN should be visible through the glass, etched into the glass itself.
3) On the Driver's Door Post: Open the driver's door and look at the door post, just below the latch. The VIN should be stamped on a metal plate attached to the door post.
4) Under the Carpet on the Driver's Side: In some cases, the VIN may be located under the carpet on the driver's side. If the above locations do not yield the VIN, you can try lifting the carpet and checking for a metal plate with the VIN stamped on it.
Note that the VIN should be a 17-digit alphanumeric code, and it is important to have the VIN number when performing car registration, title transfers, and other vehicle-related transactions.
