These markings, and the overall shape of the gasket, will indicate proper alignment.
* Consult a repair manual: A shop manual specific to your year and model Chevy 350 is essential. It will have diagrams showing the correct orientation of the head gasket. Improper installation will lead to leaks and potential engine damage.
