Ford Fusion Oil Life Reset by Model
2008-2009 Models
- First, you turn the key to indicator without turning on the engine. If the vehicle uses a push-button start, you press the button once without starting the engine. If the key ignition is turnkey, you will have to press the brake and gas simultaneously for approximately fifteen seconds.
- The display will indicate “Resetting Oil”. You will have to keep pressing until it indicates “Completed”.
2010-2012 Models
- First, on the steering wheel, you press the “Setup” button. This will give you access to the “Vehicle Settings”.
- Repeatedly, you press the “Setup” button to toggle the selection. Stop when “Oil Life” is displayed. Press the “Reset” button to select the “Oil Life” option.
Scroll through the list by pressing “Setup” repeatedly. Manually set the percentage to 100%. Once you have done this, press the “Reset” to set it.
2013-2020 Models
- First, the ignition key to “ON” position, without turning the engine on.
- Using the navigation buttons/arrows (on the steering wheel), go to the “SETTINGS” menu.
- You then scroll to the “VEHICLE” menu and enter the sub-menu. Here you will then scroll down until you get to the “OIL LIFE RESET” option.
- Hold the “OK” button until the oil life on display reaches 100%.
- Lastly, turn the ignition off and restart the engine. This will help you verify that the indicator has been reset.
