- Flat blade screwdriver
- Phillips head screwdriver

- New ignition lock
Step 1: Disconnect the battery
Disconnect the negative battery terminal to prevent any electrical accidents.
Step 2: Remove the steering wheel cover
Use the flat blade screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the steering wheel cover in place.
Step 3: Remove the steering wheel
Use the socket wrench to loosen and remove the nut that holds the steering wheel in place. Then, use the steering wheel puller to remove the steering wheel from the steering shaft.
Step 4: Remove the ignition lock retaining ring
Use the flat blade screwdriver to pry off the ignition lock retaining ring.
Step 5: Remove the ignition lock assembly
Insert the small block of wood into the ignition lock cylinder and knock it out of the housing with the hammer. Be careful not to damage the threads on the ignition switch housing.
Step 6: Install the new ignition lock assembly
Insert the new ignition lock assembly into the housing and turn it clockwise until it locks into place.
Step 7: Install the ignition lock retaining ring
Press the ignition lock retaining ring back into place.
Step 8: Reinstall the steering wheel
Place the steering wheel back onto the steering shaft and tighten the nut.
Step 9: Reinstall the steering wheel cover
Reinstall the steering wheel cover and tighten the screws.
Step 10: Reconnect the battery
Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
Step 11: Test the ignition lock
Turn the key in the ignition to make sure that the lock is working properly.
