Ensure the vehicle is parked on a stable and level ground.
Apply the parking brake to help prevent the vehicle from moving while you are working.
Locate the spare tire which is usually situated under the rear of the truck bed or behind the rear seat.
Lift the carpet/cover to expose the spare tire.
Loosen the lug nuts on the flat tire using a lug wrench, but do not remove them completely.
Use the jack that came with your vehicle to raise it until the flat tire is off the ground. Tighten the lug nuts slightly to secure the tire in place.
Remove the lug nuts completely and take off the flat tire.
Place the spare tire on the wheel studs and push it until it seats properly.
Hand-tighten the lug nuts.
Lower the vehicle using the jack.
Tighten the lug nuts fully with the lug wrench in a star pattern to evenly distribute the pressure.
Remember to properly secure the spare tire under the bed of the truck or inside the vehicle using the provided brackets or holders to prevent it from dislodging while driving.
