- Bucket of warm water
- Microfiber cloths or a squeegee
- Dishwashing liquid
- Ammonia-free glass cleaner
- Rubbing alcohol
- Old toothbrush
- Rag
Instructions:
1. Shake off any loose debris. Before you start cleaning, grab your rag and gently wipe off any loose dirt or debris on your car windows. This will help to prevent unwanted particles from scratching your glass as you clean.
2. Start with soapy water. Fill a bucket with warm water and add a few drops of dishwashing liquid. Dip a microfiber into the soapy water, wring it out, and begin to wash the windows. Use circular motions to clean, and be sure to get into the corners and edges.
3. Rinse the window. Use clean water to rinse off the soap. Again, be sure to get into the corners and edges. Use the squeegee to remove excess water.
4. Dry the window with a clean, dry microfiber cloth.
5. Spot-treat stains with glass cleaner. If there are any stubborn stains on the glass, spray a little bit of ammonia-free glass cleaner onto a clean microfiber cloth and wipe the stain away. Be sure to clean any excess glass cleaner off with a clean, dry cloth.
6. Use rubbing alcohol for heavy stains. If the glass has heavy stains, you can try rubbing alcohol. Apply the alcohol to a clean cloth and wipe the stain away. Be sure to rinse the glass thoroughly with water.
7. Apply a sealant to the glass. A sealant can help to protect the glass from dirt and grime and make future cleaning easier. Apply the sealant to a clean, dry window and buff it in with a clean cloth.
8. Clean the window frames. Use an old toothbrush to get the frames clean. Dip the toothbrush in some soapy water and scrub the frame. Rinse the frame with water and dry it off.
9. Admire your clean windows! Enjoy the satisfaction of your car's sparkling, clean windows.
Tips:
- Avoid using harsh cleaners, such as Windex, as they can damage the glass.
- Clean your windows on a cloudy day to avoid streaks.
- Change your wiper blades regularly to prevent smearing and streaking.
