How do you unlock the steering wheel on a 1970 bug?

1. Turn the ignition key to the “On” position.

2. Press the brake pedal down all the way.

3. Turn the steering wheel all the way to the left and then all the way to the right.

4. Remove the key from the ignition.

5. The steering wheel should now be unlocked.
