How do you replace starter on a 1998 Mitsubishi Diamante?

Tools Needed:

- Flathead screwdriver

- Socket set

- Ratchet

- Wrench

Instructions:

1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. This will prevent the starter from accidentally being activated while you're working on it.

2. Remove the starter relay. It is usually located in a black box near the battery.

3. Disconnect the wiring from the starter solenoid. There are usually two wires connected to the solenoid.

4. Remove the two bolts holding the starter to the engine block. To remove these bolts, you'll need to use a wrench or a socket set.

5. Remove the starter from the engine. Once you've removed the bolts, gently pry the starter out of the engine block. Be careful not to damage the starter or the surrounding parts.

6. Inspect the starter for damage. If there is any damage, you will need to replace the starter.

7. Install the new starter. To do this, simply reverse the steps that you followed to remove the old starter.

8. Reconnect the wiring to the starter solenoid.

9. Replace the starter relay.

10. Reconnect the negative battery cable.

Once you have completed these steps, the starter will be replaced. Make sure to test the starter before you drive the vehicle.
