Step 1: Disconnect the Battery
Disconnect the negative (black) terminal from the battery to avoid any electrical accidents during the installation process.
Step 2: Remove the Speaker Cover
Locate the speaker covers on the rear doors or side panels. Pry the speaker cover using a flat-head screwdriver to carefully pop it off.
Step 3: Remove the Old Speakers
Once the speaker cover is removed, you'll see the old speakers. Disconnect the speaker wires by gently pulling them off the speaker terminals. Make note of how the speaker wires are connected; take a photo if necessary, as this will help you connect the new speakers correctly.
Step 4: Unbolt the Old Speakers
Remove the bolts or screws that hold the old speakers in place. Depending on your Previa model, there might be only one bolt or screw, or multiple.
Step 5: Install the New Speakers
Place the new speakers in the same location as the old ones. Make sure to position the new speakers correctly so they fit snugly.
Step 6: Connect the Speaker Wires
Connect the new speaker wires to the corresponding speaker terminals. Be sure to match the positive (+) and negative (-) connections correctly.
Step 7: Reinstall the Bolts or Screws
Retighten the bolts or screws that hold the new speakers in place. Make sure they are secure to prevent any rattling noises while playing audio.
Step 8: Reattach the Speaker Cover
Once the new speakers are installed and secured, reattach the speaker covers. Gently press the covers back into place until they snap securely.
Step 9: Reconnect the Battery
Reconnect the negative (black) terminal to the battery to restore power to your vehicle.
Step 10: Test the Speakers
Turn on the car audio system and test the new speakers to ensure they're working correctly.
Remember to be cautious when working with electrical components, and if you're unsure about any steps, it's best to consult a professional.
