Materials Needed:
- Small Phillips-head screwdriver
- Flat-head screwdriver or pry tool
- Replacement hinge/door assembly (if necessary)
Procedure:
1. Use the small Phillips-head screwdriver to remove the two screws that secure the door to the storage compartment.
2. Use the flat-head screwdriver or pry tool to gently pry open the sides and top of the door to release it from the compartment.
3. Inspect the door and the compartment for any damage or defects. If the door is damaged beyond repair, you will need to replace the hinge/door assembly.
4. If replacing the hinge/door assembly, remove the old one by unscrewing the mounting screws and carefully disconnecting any electrical connectors.
5. Connect the electrical connectors to the new assembly and mount it in place using the screws.
6. Reattach the door to the compartment by aligning it with the hinge and securing it with the two screws.
7. Test the door to ensure it opens and closes smoothly.
