How do you repair turn indicator light 1996 Toyota Avalon?

Tools and materials:

* Phillips-head screwdriver

* Flat-head screwdriver

* 19mm socket wrench

* 19mm socket

* New turn indicator light bulb

* Replacement turn signal switch (optional)

Instructions:

1. Locate the turn indicator light bulb. The turn indicator light bulb is located in the front of the car, on the side of the headlight.

2. Remove the screws that hold the turn indicator light housing in place. There are two screws that hold the turn indicator light housing in place. Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to remove these screws.

3. Pull the turn indicator light housing out of the car. Once the screws are removed, you can pull the turn indicator light housing out of the car. Be careful not to drop it.

4. Remove the old turn indicator light bulb. The old turn indicator light bulb is held in place by a metal clip. Use the flat-head screwdriver to pry the metal clip open and remove the old light bulb.

5. Install the new turn indicator light bulb. Insert the new light bulb into the socket and push it in until it clicks into place.

6. Reattach the metal clip. Use the flat-head screwdriver to reattach the metal clip that holds the new light bulb in place.

7. Reinstall the turn indicator light housing. Reinstall the turn indicator light housing in the car and secure it with the two screws that you removed earlier.

8. Test the turn indicator light. Turn on the lights and check that the turn indicator light is working properly.

If the turn indicator light does not work after following these instructions, the turn signal switch may be faulty. You will need to replace the turn signal switch in order to fix the turn indicator light.

Here are the instructions for replacing the turn signal switch:

1. Locate the turn signal switch. The turn signal switch is located on the steering column.

2. Remove the steering wheel. Use the 19mm socket wrench and socket to remove the steering wheel.

3. Remove the turn signal switch. There are two screws that hold the turn signal switch in place. Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to remove these screws.

4. Unplug the electrical connector from the turn signal switch.

5. Install the new turn signal switch. Plug the electrical connector into the new turn signal switch.

6. Fasten the turn signal switch in place. Use the two screws that you removed earlier to fasten the turn signal switch in place.

7. Reinstall the steering wheel. Use the 19mm socket wrench and socket to reinstall the steering wheel.

8. Test the turn indicator light. Turn on the lights and check that the turn indicator light is now working properly.
