How do you put the window back on track for a 1999 Honda Civic EX?

1. Remove the door panel.

- Start by removing the upper corner screw located next to the door mirror.

- Remove the two screws located at the bottom of the door panel.

- Remove the two screws located behind the door handle.

- If your car has a manual window crank handle, remove it by prying it off with your fingers or a flat-head screwdriver.

- Carefully pry up the door panel, starting from the top and working your way down.

- Be careful not to damage the door panel or any of the clips holding it in place.

2. Locate the window regulator.

- You need to locate the window regulator, which is the assembly that moves the window up and down.

- The regulator is usually located inside the door, behind the door panel.

- It is usually attached to the window by two bolts or screws.

3. Remove the window regulator bolts.

- Remove the two bolts to detach the window regulator from the window.

4. Lift the window up.

- With the regulator bolts loosened, you need to lift the window up as far as it can go.

- This will allow you to access the window track.

5. Clean the window track.

- You will need to clean any debris from the window track.

- Use a brush or vacuum cleaner to remove dirt, dust, and any other debris.

6. Reinsert the window into the track.

- Once the track is clean, you need to carefully insert the window back into the track, starting from the bottom.

- Make sure the window is seated properly in the track.

- Do not force the window, because you could damage the window or the track if you use excessive force.

7. Replace the window regulator bolts.

- Replace the two window regulator bolts and tighten them securely.

8. Test the window.

- Try moving the window up and down to make sure it is functioning correctly.

- Ensure the window moves smoothly and does not bind or stick.

9. Reinstall the door panel.

- Reinstall the door panel by snapping it back into place.

- Replace the screws you removed earlier to hold the door panel in place.
