Tools and Materials Needed:
- Phillips screwdriver
- Flathead screwdriver or plastic trim tool
- Socket wrench with 10mm socket
- Replacement tail light assembly
Step 1: Open the Trunk:
- Open the trunk of your Camry to access the interior of the tail light assembly.
Step 2: Remove Trunk Liner:
- Locate the plastic trunk liner covering the tail light assembly.
- Use a flathead screwdriver or plastic trim tool to carefully pry open the plastic clips that hold the trunk liner in place.
- Remove the trunk liner by gently pulling it out.
Step 3: Disconnect Electrical Connector:
- Locate the electrical connector attached to the tail light assembly.
- Disconnect the electrical connector by squeezing the release tab and pulling it straight out.
Step 4: Remove Mounting Bolts:
- Locate the two 10mm bolts securing the tail light assembly to the vehicle's body.
- Use the socket wrench and 10mm socket to loosen and remove these bolts.
Step 5: Remove Old Tail Light:
- Once the bolts are removed, gently pull the tail light assembly out from its place.
- Be careful not to drop or damage the assembly.
Step 6: Install New Tail Light:
- Position the new tail light assembly into its place.
- Insert the mounting bolts and tighten them using the socket wrench and 10mm socket.
Step 7: Reconnect Electrical Connector:
- Reconnect the electrical connector to the new tail light assembly by aligning the plug and firmly pushing it in until it clicks into place.
Step 8: Reinstall Trunk Liner:
- Reinstall the trunk liner by carefully aligning it with the clips and pushing it back into place until the clips snap shut.
Step 9: Close Trunk and Test:
- Close the trunk and turn on your vehicle's lights.
- Check that the new tail light assembly is functioning correctly, including brake lights, turn signals, and reverse lights.

- Make sure that the replacement tail light assembly is compatible with your 2007 Toyota Camry model.
