- Clean the filter mounting area and discard the old filter.
4. Remove the Oil Pump:
- Identify the oil pump, usually located near the front of the engine.
- Disconnect any hoses or electrical connectors attached to the pump.
- Use a socket set to remove the bolts holding the oil pump in place.
- Be careful not to drop any bolts into the engine compartment.
5. Replace the Oil Pump Gasket:
- Remove the old oil pump gasket from the mounting surface.
- Clean the mating surface thoroughly to ensure a proper seal.
- Apply a thin layer of sealant (if specified) to the new gasket.
6. Install the New Oil Pump:

- Do not overtighten the oil filter.
10. Test the Oil Pump:
- Reconnect the negative battery terminal.
- Start the engine and let it run for a few minutes.
- Check for any leaks around the oil pump and oil filter.
10. Complete Fluid Check:

Once the oil pump replacement is complete and you've ensured there are no leaks, you can take your vehicle for a test drive to check its proper operation.
