What is the input of an automatic windscreen wiper?
The input of an automatic windscreen wiper is the amount of rainfall on the windshield. This is detected by a rain sensor, which is usually mounted on the inside of the windshield behind the rear-view mirror. The sensor uses infrared light to detect the presence of water droplets on the glass. When water droplets are detected, the sensor sends a signal to the wiper motor, which turns on the wipers. The speed of the wipers is determined by the amount of rainfall.
