* 10 mm socket
* 13 mm socket
* 15 mm socket
* Flat-head screwdriver
* C-clamp or large pliers
Procedure:
1. Loosen the lug nuts on the front wheels of your car.
2. Jack up the car and secure it on jack stands.
3. Remove the lug nuts and take off the wheels.
4. Locate the brake caliper on the inside of the wheel assembly. It is held in place by two bolts at the top and two at the bottom. Use the 13 mm socket and remove the bolts.
NOTE: You may have to remove the caliper bracket as well. This will require a 15mm socket.
5. Once the caliper is removed, you will see the brake pads. They are held in place by two metal pins.
6. Use the flat-head screwdriver to pry out the pins.
7. Remove the old brake pads and clean the caliper with brake cleaner.
8. Apply a thin coat of brake grease to the caliper and pads.
9. Install the new brake pads and reinsert the pins.
10. Compress the caliper piston to make room for the new brake pads. You can use a C-clamp or large pliers for this.
11. Reinstall the caliper and tighten the bolts.
12. Install the lug nuts and lower the car.
13. Tighten the lug nuts and test the brakes.
