Do auto auctions have to disclose all previous damage a car when they sell it in Iowa?

In Iowa, all auto auctions are required to disclose any previous damage to a vehicle that is over $500. They must provide this information to the buyer in writing, and the buyer must sign a form acknowledging that they have received and understand this information.

Also any auto auction in Iowa that offers a vehicle for sale at a public auction must disclose, prior to the auction sale of the vehicle, the terms of the sale, the physical and/or mechanical condition of the vehicle, and the ownership of the vehicle and the lienholder, if any, on the vehicle if known to the seller.
