* A ratchet
* A 10mm socket
The first step is to remove the original gear shifter knob. To do this, use a flat-head screwdriver to pry off the shift pattern indicator located on top of the knob. Once the indicator is removed, you should see a bolt holding the shift knob in place. Use a 10mm socket to loosen and remove the bolt.
Once the bolt is removed, you can simply pull the shift knob straight up and off the shift lever.
To install the new shift knob, simply reverse the steps above. Slide the new shift knob onto the shift lever and secure it with the 10mm bolt. Finally, clip the shift pattern indicator onto the top of the knob.
That's it! You have now successfully changed the gear shifter knob on your manual echo.
