What and where is the kick panel?

The kick panel is a vertical panel that covers the lower portion of the front door opening in a vehicle. It is typically made of plastic or vinyl and may also be referred to as the door sill panel or scuff plate.

The kick panel serves several purposes:

* It provides a finished appearance to the interior of the vehicle

* It protects the door threshold from wear and tear

* In some cases, it may also incorporate speakers or other components

It's not necessarily located in either the left or the right sides. It just generally refers to both left and right lower vertical plastic trim.
