- Disconnect the negative battery terminal.
- Remove the center dash assembly by removing the screws and bolts holding it in place and lift it out.
- Slide the center dash vent up and out.
- Remove the two screws that secure the lower dash panel to the support bracket and drop the panel down. Disconnect the electrical connections to the light and the glove box switch.
- Remove the two nuts securing the hood release handle to the underside of the dash and remove the hood release.
- Remove the screws securing the defroster duct to the dash panel.
- Remove the two screws securing the heater core housing to the dash panel and remove the heater core housing.
- Remove the two water hoses from the heater core by pulling them straight up. Pull the heater core towards you to remove it.
Be sure to replace any gaskets or seals as needed when reinstalling the heater core.
