- A lug wrench
- A breaker bar
- A socket that fits the lock nut
- A hammer
Instructions:
1. Locate the lock nut on the rim. It is usually a lug nut that is different in appearance from the other lug nuts on the wheel.
2. Place the lug wrench on the lock nut and turn it counterclockwise to loosen it.
3. If the lock nut does not loosen, use the breaker bar to help you loosen it. Place the breaker bar over the lug wrench and push down on it.
4. Continue to turn the lock nut counterclockwise until it is completely loose.
5. Use the hammer to knock the lock nut off of the lug bolt.
6. Once the lock nut is removed, you can remove the other lug nuts and take off the wheel.
