- Windshield repair kit
- Razor blade or utility knife
- Rubbing alcohol or isopropyl alcohol
- Microfiber cloth or lint-free cloth
2. Prepare the windshield.
- Clean the area around the chip or crack with rubbing alcohol or isopropyl alcohol.
- Use a razor blade or utility knife to remove any loose glass or debris from the chip or crack.
3. Apply the resin.
- Follow the instructions included in the windshield repair kit to apply the resin to the chip or crack.
- Be sure to fill the chip or crack completely.
- Remove any excess resin with a microfiber cloth or lint-free cloth.
4. Cure the resin.
- Place the curing light included in the windshield repair kit over the chip or crack.
- Cure the resin for the amount of time specified in the instructions.
5. Remove the curing light.
- Once the resin is cured, remove the curing light.
6. Clean the windshield.
- Use a microfiber cloth or lint-free cloth to clean the windshield.
7. Inspect the repair.
- Inspect the repair to make sure that the chip or crack is filled and that there are no bubbles or other defects.
