1. Raise the vehicle and support it on jack stands.
2. Disconnect the negative battery cable.
3. Remove the front wheels.
4. Remove the cotter pin and castle nut that holds the front drive shaft to the differential flange.
5. Remove the four bolts that hold the differential cover to the differential housing.
6. Carefully pry the differential cover off the housing, being careful not to damage the gasket.
7. Remove the old seal from the differential housing.
8. Install the new seal into the differential housing, making sure that it is properly seated.
9. Replace the differential cover and bolts.
10. Replace the castle nut and cotter pin.
11. Reinstall the wheels and the vehicle.
12. Reconnect the negative battery cable.
