Instructions:
1. Disconnect the battery.
2. Remove the serpentine belt.
3. Remove the alternator bracket.
4. Remove the alternator from the engine.
5. Install the new alternator.
6. Install the alternator bracket.
7. Reinstall the serpentine belt.
8. Reconnect the battery.
Here are some additional tips for changing the alternator on a 1998 Chevy Blazer:
- Make sure that the engine is cool before you begin working on it.
- Be careful not to drop any bolts or nuts into the engine.
