1. Turn off the windshield wipers.
This will prevent them from moving while you are trying to remove them.
2. Locate the wiper arm nuts.
There are two nuts on each wiper arm, one on the top and one on the bottom. If the bottom nut is covered by a plastic cap, simply pry the cap off to expose the nut.
3. Loosen the wiper arm nuts.
Use the 10mm socket wrench to loosen the two nuts on each wiper arm. Then remove the nuts.
4. Pull the wiper arms off.
Once the nuts are removed, you can pull the wiper arms off of the vehicle. Slide them up and off the pivot shaft that extends from the body.
5. Repeat steps 4-6 for the other wiper arm.
