To replace the daytime driving lamp on a 2007 VW Beetle, follow these steps:

Tools and Materials Needed:

- Replacement daytime driving lamp bulb

- Phillips-head screwdriver

- Flathead screwdriver or trim removal tool

- Protective gloves

Instructions:

1. Preparation:

- Turn off the engine and allow the vehicle to cool down.

- Put on protective gloves to avoid any cuts or abrasions during the process.

2. Locate the Daytime Driving Lamp Assembly:

- Open the hood of the Beetle.

- Look for the daytime driving lamp assembly. It is usually located in the front bumper, on the side of the headlight assembly.

3. Remove the Fasteners:

- Use the Phillips-head screwdriver to loosen and remove any fasteners holding the daytime driving lamp assembly in place.

4. Disconnect the Electrical Connector:

- Locate the electrical connector attached to the daytime driving lamp assembly.

- Gently press the release tab on the connector and pull it to disconnect the electrical connection.

5. Remove the Bulb Holder:

- Once the electrical connector is disconnected, you can remove the bulb holder.

- Use the flathead screwdriver or trim removal tool to gently pry open the bulb holder from the housing. Be careful not to damage the surrounding area.

6. Replace the Bulb:

- Remove the old daytime running light bulb from the bulb holder by turning it counterclockwise.

- Insert the new daytime running light bulb into the holder and turn it clockwise until it is secure.

7. Reinstall the Bulb Holder:

- Gently push the bulb holder back into the housing until it is firmly seated.

8. Reconnect the Electrical Connector:

- Reconnect the electrical connector by inserting it back into the daytime driving lamp assembly and pressing the release tab until it clicks into place.

9. Install the Fasteners:

- Reinstall and tighten any fasteners you removed earlier to secure the daytime driving lamp assembly in place.

10. Test the Daytime Driving Lamp:

- Turn the ignition on without starting the engine.

- Check if the daytime driving lamp turns on and functions correctly.

11. Close the Hood:

- If everything seems to be in order, close the hood of the Beetle.
