2. Find the child lock mechanism. It is usually located on the inside of the door, near the child's seat. It is a small plastic switch or knob.
3. Unlock the child lock. Turn the child lock switch/knob to the "unlocked" position. The door should now be able to be opened from the outside.
4. Reattach the door panel. Once the door panel is unlocked, you can reattach it to the door by reversing the steps you took to remove it.
