How can you open rear door on Renault Megane 1.4 V reg when child lock is off and will not from outside?

1. Remove the door panel. You will need a Phillips head screwdriver for this. There are screws on the inside of the door handle, the armrest, and the bottom of the door. Once all the screws are removed, you can carefully pry the door panel off of the door.

2. Find the child lock mechanism. It is usually located on the inside of the door, near the child's seat. It is a small plastic switch or knob.

3. Unlock the child lock. Turn the child lock switch/knob to the "unlocked" position. The door should now be able to be opened from the outside.

4. Reattach the door panel. Once the door panel is unlocked, you can reattach it to the door by reversing the steps you took to remove it.
