1. Remove the armrest. There are two screws that hold the armrest in place, one at the front and one at the back. Remove these screws and then lift the armrest up and off.
2. Remove the window crank or power window switch. If your car has manual windows, use a small pry bar to gently pry the window crank up and off. If your car has power windows, use a Phillips head screwdriver to remove the two screws that hold the power window switch in place. Then, disconnect the electrical connector behind the switch and remove the switch.
3. Remove the lock knob. Use a small pry bar to gently pry the lock knob up and off.
4. Remove the door handle. There are two screws that hold the door handle in place, one at the front and one at the back. Remove these screws and then pull the door handle straight out.
5. Remove the door panel. The door panel is held in place by several clips. Use a small pry bar to gently pry the clips loose and then pull the door panel straight up and off.
Be careful not to damage the door panel or any of the components when removing it.
