1. Park your vehicle in a safe location, and engage the parking brake.
2. Open the trunk.
3. Locate the two screws holding the brake light in place. They are located on the inside of the trunk, on either side of the light.
4. Use a Phillips-head screwdriver to loosen the screws. Be careful not to drop them into the trunk.
5. Once the screws are loose, remove them by hand.
6. Pull the brake light out of the trunk. Be careful not to damage the wiring.
7. Disconnect the electrical connector from the brake light.
8. Remove the old brake light bulb by turning it counterclockwise until it comes out of the socket.
9. Insert the new brake light bulb into the socket and turn it clockwise until it is snug.
10. Reconnect the electrical connector to the brake light.
11. Slide the brake light back into its place in the trunk.
12. Replace the screws and tighten them with the Phillips-head screwdriver.
13. Close the trunk.
14. Test the new brake light by turning on the headlights and pressing the brake pedal. The brake light should come on.
