How do you remove the motor in a Eureka 4870 upright vacuum?

To remove the motor in a Eureka 4870 upright vacuum, follow these steps:

1. Unplug the vacuum cleaner from the power outlet.

2. Remove the dust cup by pressing the release button and lifting the dust cup off of the vacuum.

3. Remove the lower brushroll cover by pressing the release tabs and lifting the cover off.

4. Use a screwdriver to remove the screws that hold the motor in place.

5. Carefully lift the motor out of the vacuum cleaner.

Be sure to disconnect any electrical connections before removing the motor.
