Step 1: Gather tools and parts
- Complete gasket set
- Piston and rings
- Connecting rod bearings
- Crankshaft main bearings
- Oil seals
- Timing chain
- Timing gears
- Valve seals
- Spark plugs
- Air filter
- Oil filter
- Fuel filter
- Brake pads
- Brake fluid
- Coolant
- Engine oil
- Transmission oil
Step 2: Disassemble the engine
1. Remove the head cover and cylinder head.
2. Remove the pistons and connecting rods.
3. Remove the crankshaft and main bearings.
4. Remove the oil seals.
5. Remove the timing chain and timing gears.
6. Remove the valve seals.
Step 3: Clean the engine parts
1. Clean all of the engine parts thoroughly with degreaser and a scrub brush.
2. Rinse the parts with water and let them dry.
Step 4: Inspect the engine parts
1. Inspect the engine parts for damage or wear.
2. Replace any damaged or worn parts.
Step 5: Reassemble the engine
1. Install the new pistons and rings.
2. Install the new connecting rod bearings.
3. Install the new crankshaft and main bearings.
4. Install the new oil seals.
5. Install the new timing chain and timing gears.
6. Install the new valve seals.
7. Reinstall the head cover and cylinder head.
Step 6: Fill the engine with oil and coolant
1. Fill the oil filter with engine oil.
2. Reinstall the oil filter.
3. Fill the radiator with coolant.
Step 7: Start the engine
1. Turn on the fuel valve.
2. Turn on the ignition switch.
3. Press the start button.
Step 8: Test the engine
1. Let the engine run for a few minutes.
2. Check the oil pressure and coolant level.
3. Make sure the engine is running smoothly.
